Fruit Kebabs
Hello guys, It can be quite a challenge getting the kids to eat more fruits. So we decided to make the fruits look more attractive and also get them all involved in the kebab making process.
All you need are satay sticks and what else...but fruits? It's that simple! Anyone can make them.
This activity turned out to be a real hit and the kids really loved their fruit kebabs and ate up all the fruits!
Materials Needed:
1. Satay sticks
2. Cut-out fruits (e.g. strawberries, bananas, kiwis, oranges, apples, mangoes, grapes, starfruits etc)
1. Cut out the fruits into small pieces.
2. Wash the satay sticks and then let the children assemble the fruits one by one onto the sticks.
Precaution: Pls check that there are no splinters sticking out of the satay sticks before letting the children handle them. Also ensure that the children do not poke their eyes with the sharp end of the satay sticks. Adult supervision is essential when young children are handling satay sticks.
And ta-da... you have made your very own Fruit Kebab!
How easy was that?
Best thing is the fruits look so attractive and appetizing on the satay sticks.
And my kids really enjoyed eating the fruit kebabs as they looked so pretty and colourful.

I think these kebabs can also make very nice centerpieces for birthday parties, don't you think?

Minion Paper Roll Craft
Hi guys, the Little Mini Makers made a very cute Minion paper roll craft a few months' ago, but we had been too busy to post it up on our blog. Finally, here it is. We made this cute little guy using unwanted toilet paper roll and an old blue glittery nail polish.
Materials Needed:
1. Toilet roll
2. Yellow construction paper
3. Blue nail polish (or blue paint)
4. Large goggly eye
5. Black marker
6. Super glue
Materials needed are here. But pls ignore the yellow ice-cream sticks.
They are not needed for this craft.
1. Wrap the toilet roll with yellow construction paper.
2. Use a pencil to draw the Minion's eye, mouth and overall.
3. Then use the blue glittery nail polish to paint his overall, and let it dry.
4. Then use super glue to paste on the large goggly eye.
5. Lastly, use the black marker to outline his eye, mouth and overall.
There you have it --- your very own cute little Minion using old unwanted items!
We also came across a cafe in The Cathay called Bricks 'n' Cubes which had cute little Minions made of legos. Here are some pics for you to enjoy.

Ribena Popsicle Recipe
Hello guys, Little Mini Makers are back again with a new recipe for little kids.
Since the weather in Singapore has been so hot lately, we decided to try our hands at making popsicles to cool ourselves down.
We bought ourselves this really cute snowman Popsicle Maker at Tokutokuya (#02-18/19, Bedokpoint) for only $2.
This place sells most of their stuff at just $2, similar to Daiso.
We like shopping there as it's less crowded than Daiso and they stock a lot of Made in Japan products for $2 flat.
Once we bought our Popsicle Maker, we rushed back to make our Ribena popsicles.
This recipe is so simple that anyone who can't cook, can make this!
Ingredients:
- Ribena (2 tablespoons)
- Water (one cup)
POPSICLE MAKER
These are what's inside the Popsicle set.
1. First mix the Ribena cordial with one cup of water.
2. Then pour the mixture slowly into the Popsicle Maker using a spoon.
This is how the Ribena popsicle looks like.

3. Put the Popsicle Maker into the freezer for at least 4 hours.
4. Take the frozen popsicles out of the freezer and Enjoy!
